Strictly Week Three Review

From the amazing professional dancers, choreographer to the SCD band , the set design, costumes, hair and makeup and the entire Strictly team . Thank you for an amazing show.

A Blockbuster!!

Tameka and Gorka danced the Tango to ‘The Heat Is On’ from Beverly Hills Cop.

The heat was on for Tameka and Gorka’s Tango . Tameka is so focused when she dances. Her posture still needs a little work but overall a good performance.

Ore and Joanne danced the American Smooth to ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ from Singin’ In The Rain

Joanne and Ore made my night performing this dance one of my favorite movies. Ore was really impressive , how he took on the character and style of Gene Kelly. He used the umbrella prob very well throughout the dance. Joanne was like she just stepped off the set of the movie, an amazing dancer and choreographer. It was quite emotional to watch.

Louise and Kevin danced the Cha Cha to ‘Flashdance… What A Feeling’ from Flashdance

What a feeling watching Louise and Kevin perform this cha cha. Louise looked fantastic and much more confident this week and it was evident she was loving every moment of the dance. It brought you right back to the 80’s. Louise is technically a brilliant dancer . Loved Kevin’s choreography. Feeling great after that 😀

Anastacia and Brendan danced the Viennese Waltz  to ‘A Thousand Years’ to The Twiligh

Anastacia and Brendan’s Viennese Waltz brought out a softer side of Anastacia we had not seen previously. Anastacia looked beautifully serene .Their dance was elegant and romantic.

Pasha and Naga danced the Tango to ‘Theme from Mission Impossible’ from Mission Impossible

Naga looked amazing in the catsuit and really suited the role. Loved the drama of the Tango. It was dark and mysterious. There were a few mistakes. I feel Naga needs to be a bit more confident she has the potential to be great but she needs to believe in herself more. It was like she was holding back a little. Len said : Best dance so far.

Daisy and Aljaz danced the Viennese Waltz to  ‘A Spoonful Of Sugar’ from Mary Poppins

A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down…if you were feeling unwell they would lift your spirit. Daisy is so light on her feet and her footwork was so neat. Their dance was upbeat and fun. It was Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Lesley and Anton danced the Quickstep to ‘A Couple Of Swells’ from Easter Parade

Lesley and Anton really looked the part. Lesley is such a fun, fit and energetic lady. I really was astounded at how Lesley kept up to Anton’s full on routine but she did and impressively so. Well done Lesley!

Ed and Katya danced the Samba to ‘Cuban Pete’

Ed balls brings an element of surprise each week . Katya has really brought out Ed’s fun side in the dances. He is certainly having a ball. He may have lacked a bit in the footwork department but he made up for it with his enthusiasm for the dance. That’s Entertainment!!

Greg and Natalie danced the American Smooth to ‘Everything I do (I Do It For You)’ from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

Greg and Natalie looked like they stepped off the set of Robin Hood. I just love to watch them in ballroom , they are a perfect fit . Their dance really told a story. The lifts were beautiful . A powerful performance.

Danny and Oti danced the Paso Doble to ‘The Train / El Sombrero Blanco from The Mask of Zorro

Oh my, The Mask! The Cape! The Passion!

Danny really led Oti around the floor like a true professional. Danny is so confident, he holds nothing back . Oti’s choreography is amazing. Danny really knows how to make an entrance and put on a strong performance.

Phew!! It might take me the week to get over this one  😉

Claudia and AJ danced the Charleston to ‘You Give A Little Love’ from Bugsy Malone

I do believe this was Claudia’s night and the charleston her best dance. The swivels and lifts were brilliant. It was fast paced and energetic which suited Claudia perfectly. They certainly are the #pocketrockets. Full of fun and fantastic dancing.

Judge Rinder and Oksana danced the Charleston to ‘Meet The Flintstones’ from The Flintstones

Judge Rinder is just so much fun to watch. Oksana completely trusts Judge Rinder with the lifts and they get on so well together .Well Judge Rinder and Oksana had a Yabba Dabba Do Time. It was a fabulous entertaining performance. Loved it!!

Will and Karen danced the Salsa to ‘Jai Ho’ from Slumdog Millionaire

Loved the Bollywood theme for Will and Karen’s dance. The lifts were great. It was a real feel good performance. The choreography was so imaginative, loved it.  It made you just want to get up and join in .

Laura and Giovanni danced the Salsa to ‘Rhythm Of The Night’ from Moulin Rouge

Laura walked out a very different character this week.  She became a Sassy Sultry red haired Salsa dancer. Laura unleashed her inner diva and performed like a real showgirl.
