THE STRICTLY COME DANCING SET DESIGN, HAIR & MAKE UP TEAM, COSTUME DEPARTMENT AND THE SCD BAND , PROFESSIONAL DANCERS EXCELLED THEMSELVES THIS WEEK.
The Strictly Halloween Group Dance was to ‘You Spin Me Round’ by Dead or Alive.
A Pete Burns Tribute.
Claudia was more like a little fairy than a witch in this dance , absolutely gorgeous. The lifts were faBOOlous. The spins were spellbindng. Brilliant footwork. It was Magic!
- Daisy and Aljaz danced the Paso Doble to Santa Esmeralda version of ‘Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’
The hair and makeup team did an amazing job . Daisy and Aljaz looked captivating. Daisy looked ravishing in red. It was a passionate and dramatic paso. Another excellent performance.
This dance was the highlight if the night for me. Ed played the role of the mad scientist in this chilling cha cha. It was much better than last week. Ed’s timing was great. I need some of that ‘Love Potion’ , if this is what it does to you. 😉Katya makes every performance fun and exciting to watch . That body rub …😂
Ed’s best dance. Well done!!👏
- Anastacia and Brendan danced the Jive to ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ by Meat Loaf
It was great to see Brendan back this week . It was a fun and energetic dance. Anastacia looked amazing. The kicks and flicks needed more work. A bit flat footed. Not as good as last week but still a nice dance. Well done Anastacia.
That almost brought me to tears. Natalie choreographed a beautifully haunting rumba. The intensity and emotion. Greg danced much better this week. They created some beautiful lines. A gorgeous couple. A beautiful dance.
- Judge Rinder and Oksana danced the Paso Doble to ‘Born This Way’ by Lady Gaa
Their make up and costumes were staggeringly beautiful. Oksana looked like the most picturesque butterfly. Judge Rinder , you were born to dazzle! A powerful paso.
- Laura and Giovanni danced the Tango to ‘Paint It Black’ by The Rolling Stones
So pleased to see Laura back . Their was more of a connection between Laura and Giovanni, which made them dance/ perform even better. This dance certainly excited the senses. It was a tantalizing tango. Laura’s topline was incredible. Her best dance.
Welcome back Laura!
- Louise and Kevin danced the Charleston to the Emeli Sande version of ‘Crazy In Love’
This dancing duo were without question in it to win it tonight. Louise really came out of her shell in this dance. They were in sync throughout the dance. I was a full on routine. They looked like they were having so much fun. A comic book charleston! Kevin is a wiz kid in the ballroom with his creative choreography.
- Ore and Joanne danced the Charleston to the Bow Wow Wow version of ‘I Want Candy’
Their hair and make up and costumes were unbelievable. It was a cheeky charleston. Sweet as sugar candy. 🍭Loved the routine. Ore has tremendous stamina and is a fantastic dancer. It wasn’t ore’s best dance but he made up for it in entertainment value.
Danny and Oti danced the foxtrot to ‘Take Me To Church’ by Hozier.
It was such an intricate routine. Which I feel Danny struggled with a little. The foxtrot is not an easy dance .There were a couple of mistakes. Danny is still a first class dancer and performer. It was such a shame it went wrong. I just adore Oti’s imaginative choreography each week .
