Easter is about two things; family and food. It is a fun filled, joyful festival. For many people this festival has become synonymous to springtime fun and holidays. If you are a Christian, then you know its importance; if you are a pagan, then you have your own beliefs too. So let it be anyone, everyone has their own rituals and religious beliefs. Apart from this, Easter is all about pastels, delectable sweets, fun egg hunt games, and variety of sweets. It is like a treat of holidays in amidst of the spring season. It is ideally the first chance to party in the springs.

We all love Easter parties and the egg hunt games. So if you are hosting an Easter party this year, then here I am with few tips for having an amazing Easter (I have some tips for vegans too).

Tip 1- Do Not Forget The Eggs

Easter is nearly incomplete without eggs. And if you have kids around, then use their enthusiasm for painting the ceramic eggs before the party. You can find these readily available in market, so you can use them in your party too. Nowadays, you can also find vegan, diabetic and gluten-free Easter eggs in the market. Get your hand on these too, just for the time if you need them.

Tip 2- Go For Bright Colors

Easter is ideally all about pastels. But why not think out of the box, and go for more lively, bright spring colors. So skip the pastel palette, and theme your party with something like hot pink or bright yellow. After all this is the first opportunity to party in the springs.

Tip 3- Fill The Easter Baskets With Sweets

There are a variety of Easter goodies available in the market. Just go for something interesting and let everyone enjoy the delicious treats. For vegans, earlier finding vegan candies was a tedious job, but now deciding which one you should go for has become a difficult thing. So you can go for chocolate peanut butter eggs, vegan English cream eggs or Cadbury eggs.

Tip 4- Ask For Help With Meal

You can always ask your family for help in meal preparation instead of doing it all alone. You can also try pot luck style meal, wherein you just need to serve main course and drinks. Your guests can bring in side items, salads and desserts. This way some of your stress of preparing meal will be off you. And your guests will be able to enjoy specials made by your family.

Tip 5- Do Not Forget About Kids’ Snacks

Kids are the pickiest eaters. So always keep certain dishes in your menu that no kid can resist. Normally, pasta, fruits, and chicken nuggets should do the trick. However, if you feel you have some particular eater attending, then do not delay in making a phone call to his/her parents.

Tip 6- Take A Picture Before Hunt Game

Kids would be on their toes in anticipation of the big egg hunt game. Take a group picture before this big game begins. The elders can utilize this time for hiding eggs too, as the kids will be distracted.

Tip 7- Set Some Ground Rules For The Egg Hunt

You should set some rules beforehand for this most anticipated game. For example, set some boundaries for search, age limit, and so on. Read these rules to the kids before you start the game. This will help in causing less fuss around.

Tip 8- You Can Plan For An Alternate Search Game For Adults Too

The traditional Easter egg hunt game is fun, but why can’t one try something else. You can replace the old-fashioned egg hunt game with some other creative search games and set up prizes for different goals. This way all the participants will have a chance to win, and hence they will be much more excited in playing games. For example, you can try a simple photo game. Make a list of all the things available in your backyard, and ask the searchers to find them with photographs. Whoever finds it will receive a point, and at the end some reward to the winner.

But if you still prefer Easter egg hunt games, then you can surely opt for that anytime. After all it is tradition for a reason. Vegans can try and veganize this little game by filling the reusable eggs with sweet treats.

Tip 9- Do Not Be Afraid For Starting New Traditions

There is always a family tradition for Easter, and we hold that near and dear. But this doesn’t mean that you cannot start few new events too. So try something new when you host the party. Who knows, in coming years even those activities can become your family tradition for Easter.

Mindful March


March will soon be here, and we would welcome spring with lots of excitement. The most prevailing of all will be thoughts of the wonderful scenery, the beautiful sight of nature splashed before our eyes. This is the best time to improve in our practice of mindfulness. We need to enjoy the spring; we need to enjoy our lives just the way we are, right here and right now.

Mindfulness is purposefully concentrating on the present moment. This sounds easy, but somehow difficult to accomplish. Especially when confronted with some many distracting issues that bugs our minds.

Not to worry, keep all anxiety out and focus intentionally on your actions each day. I will provide some tips to help you relax, meditate and keep all stress away throughout the month of March.

How to Practice Mindfulness

The practice of mindfulness is inherent in all of us, lying dormant within, waiting to be tapped and expounded. Always focus on what you are thinking at every moment, when you can control your thoughts, then your emotions and feelings can be put in check as well. So, the key to mastering mindfulness lies in you mastering the thoughts you allow every moment.

Keep a check on your thoughts; try to always keep it on present activities. If you are walking down a path, focus your thought on that activity only. Enjoy your walk by capturing the breathtaking events around, and then you will realize what you have been missing out on all along. Stay mindful throughout March with these daily meditation and relaxation exercises.

Day 1 – Do a Total Scan of Your Body

Mindfulness is to nonjudgmentally focus on the present with purpose. Focus on your body today, every single part, taking note of what you feel in each part. Through meditation do a total scan of your body to create a sound connection between your mind and body.

Take time out throughout today to focus on yourself and your environment. Enjoy all you see.

Spend time throughout this day to seek the help of a life coach to evaluate your success level.

Consciously spend the whole day today outdoors, releashing the beauty of nature. Stay mindful on nature.

The statistics place the total number of social media users to 2.46 billion users. This amounts to one-third of the total world population. This makes it a social phenomenon with a wide implication. The advent of the internet made the information flow fast. It became faster as the social media started becoming popular. The social media platforms allow the people to connect instantly. They can interact across vast distances in moments.

Lack of consensus among researchers

Due to its popularity, the social media is a subject of many studies. Its effect on the mental health of its users is a subject of many studies. Sometimes being optimistic is considered as bad. However, it is not. Optimism always stays in the limit. There will be no fantasies in it. It creates a hypothetical opportunity to do best and give best. For example, you are a football fan and watching a football game. In a do or die match of FIFA world cup, your favorite team is losing. What will you do? What can you do? There is nothing in your control expect prayers, wishes, hope, and optimism. Your team needs three-goal in last ten minutes. Is it possible? Yes. However, in the real world, it is near to impossible. However, not impossible. This is where optimistic people come in. They not only hope that their team may win, but they are so optimistic that, they think their team has a chance of winning the FIFA world cup. This is how your life is. It does not matter what happened in your life until 2017. The New Year is here. If you cannot change too many things, at least you can be optimistic. Optimism brings in happiness and confidence. Why do you always want to be in a pessimistic zone? It is because of external influence. It may be politics, your friends, your family and it may be the weather. However, thinking that the rain outside your window will provide water for drinking, cools your planet and brings stability to the environment, you will have an optimistic life. It keeps all the negative thoughts away from my mind. I do not know when I will get the reward. However, there is an optimism, which keeps me active and alive. Therefore, you need to feel that your work will not go unnoticed. You will get recognition. You will get your reward. Hope for the best.

This is one of the best ways to stay optimistic. How? At times, you may feel that there is no one in this world, who loves you. However, no you are wrong. Recently, I went through a tough time. I am still going through that phase. However, the responsibilities I have on my shoulders started to feel less weight, when I considered it as my love and care for my family instead of responsibility or the work. Love your work and love your responsibility.

If you have kids or babies, then you are blessed to have a greatest optimistic thing in your life. They keep you motivated, fresh, happy and occupied. All your stress will go out. If you do not have, kids then play with kids and babies in your neighborhood. Try it to believe it.

  1. Charity, help and faith on humanity

Do as much charity as you can. Help people. I do it whenever i get the chance to. When i go out on bike, if I see someone walking then I ask him whether i can drop him to nearest place to his destination in my route. It gives me happiness. I want to do it as much as possible. Only money cannot be. This will restore your faith and that person’s faith on the humanity. This is the best form of optimism.
