They all lit up the Blackpool Tower Ballroom with that circus themed opening dance.
Here are my thoughts on Strictly in Blackpool
Alexandra and Gorka danced the Quickstep to The Gold Diggers Song (We’re In The Money) from ’42nd Street
Alexandra and Gorka struck gold with this amazing routine. Their floor craft was excellent They looked like two stars form a Hollywood film. A joyous dance to watch. A class act!
Debbie and Giovanni danced the Samba to Spice Girls Medley (Wannabe/ Who Do You Think You Are)
Debbie is not as comfortable in this dance. I feel maybe Debbie is concentrating so much on getting everything perfect, she is not allowing herself to loosen up and feel the dance more. The samba rolls were excellent . Debbie is still a great dancer and it was an enjoyable performance.
Gemma and Aljaz danced the American Smooth to Downtown by Petula Clark
Gemma and Aljaz’s American Smooth was exquisite. Beautiful, graceful and smooth. A gorgeous song choice, routine and Gemma’s topline …gorgeous.
Mollie and AJ danced the Charleston to Wings by Little Mix
Mollie looked sensational in white .They did some difficult lifts. They had good energy from beginning to end.
Well that was a shock elimination in week seven. Aston and Janette will be dearly missed. I would loved to have seen them dance in Blackpool.
Here is my favorite dance from them .
The heat is on to see who will make it to Blackpool…

A beautiful couple and a beautiful song and dance despite Gemma slipping out of her shoe mid way through the dance. She handled it like a pro.

This dance has the intensity and drama . You can see Mollie is working hard and putting 100% into the dance.

Gemma and Aljaz danced the Salsa to Sun Comes Up by Rudimental ft. James Arthur
Once again I didn’t think this was Gemma’s best dance . The Salsa is such a fast dance. Gemma appeared nervous entering the daring lifts . I think she is stronger in ballroom. But still an enjoyable performance.

An excellent song choice. Mollie’s topline was good and looked so elegant. It would be irresponsible not to love that beautiful foxtrot. Mollie is more comfortable in ballroom .

Ruth was even better this week and with more confidence . It still wasn’t technically perfect but a great effort. Well done Ruth.
Simon and Karen danced the Viennese Waltz to Delilah by Tom Jones
If Simon relaxed his knees more it would have appeared a smoother dance. But Karen revealed due to an injury Simon did only have two days training . So Simon did do well with that routine.
Susan and Kevin danced the Foxtrot to Killer Queen by Queen
